Public Awareness Resources
September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month, designated by Congress to help focus attention on the need for research and treatment of sickle cell disease. ADRP partners with the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America to create English and Spanish versions of social graphics, videos, and more. Please visit a more expansive list of resources under our Diversity and Inclusion Resources page.
A robust toolkit is created every year for blood centers across the county to customize and implement into their current communication plans. Assets will be released Fall 2022 for 2023 National Blood Donor Month.
We have taken the 2022 National Blood Donor Month graphics and have made them into graphics you can use all year long. Graphic files are too large to post here, they are all hosted in a Google drive. If you are unable to access the drive, please contact info@adrp.org.
Have you ever had a bad day? You know the one where you need more donors, blood drives are canceled, the weather is rainy, and hospitals call for more blood you may not even have. We’ve all had those days. Our donors have bad days too, and we can be the solution to turn their day around. Through a grant from Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies, ADRP is releasing the the first of many educational videos and resources. Video and graphic files are too large to post here, they are all hosted in a Google drive. If you are unable to access the drive, please contact info@adrp.org.

Celebrated yearly on June 14, countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day (WBDD). The event serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood. Mexico was the sponsor country for 2022 and the theme is "Donating blood is an act of solidarity. Join the effort and save lives".
